 David Pere Martínez Oró (1981). 

Doctor en Psicologia Social

              

Doctor in Social Psychology. Master in Research in Social Sciences. Degree in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Postgraduate in qualitative research by the University of Amsterdam. Specialized in the critical currents of the Social Sciences. Expert in research methodologies of complex social phenomena.
 
He is currently coordinator of the "Drug Policy Unit" of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Responsible for research in «Episteme. Research and Social Intervention. Collaborating professor at the Open University of Catalonia. Anthropologist at the Medical Anthropology Research Center of Rovira i Virgili University. Director of the Ethnographic Drug Observatory. He is an expert on different rosters of companies that provide consultancy services to the European Union. Member of the Catalan Institute of Anthropology and the European Society for Social Drug Research.
 
He has been a collaborator of the General Subdirectorate of Drug Dependence of the Generalitat of Catalonia (2010-2014). Evaluation coordinator of the European project Drojnet2 (prevention of drug use through ICT, ERDF funds). Coordinator of the Research Department of the IGenus Foundation (2006-2015). Adviser to the "Early Warning System on Drug Abuse" in Medellín (Colombia) (2011-2013). Coordinator of the Observatory for New Drugs in the Youth Sector (2006-2010), SICCAM (continuous observation system in Castilla-La Mancha 2006-2011) and SIEC (Ethnographic research system continues the Valencian Community, 2009-2011).
 
Responsible for more than twenty researches on drug consumption, consumer society, youth cultures, risk society, vulnerability and social exclusion, among other topics. Research in collaboration or commissioned by local entities such as the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Spanish Ministry of Health, or the European Union, among others. He has participated in different programs to prevent drug use.
 
He has taught in Spanish and Latin American universities (Colombia, Chile and Uruguay). He has lectured for different institutions, scientific societies, non-profit organizations and in different national and international congresses.
 
Author of different books and scientific articles. Highlights «Risks and pleasures. Manual to understand the drugs "(2013) edited along with Joan Pallarés. "Without going overboard. The normalization of drug use "(2015). «Social cannabis clubs. Normalization, neoliberalism, political opportunities and prohibitionism "(2015). And "taboo standardization. Family, Communication and Prevention »(2016)« Between stripes. The teenage gaze towards cocaine »(2009). Academic editor of the "The paths of cannabis regulation in Spain".
